Troll: In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.
For your viewing pleasure, I present to you an evolution of Trolling: The Cannibal Troll!
Cannibal Troll: A troll that spends it’s time trollbaiting other trolls. Wasting the time of those most intent of wasting the time of others.
This is an excellent example of trollbaiting. In the video below, SpikeCanDance appears to be very confused about Mexican and Spanish languages. In a shining attempt to draw as many comments as possible, Spike shamelessly displays his “dance shorts.”
Is Spike a cannibal troll? I say he is, because the alternative is truly despairing.
Sunday morning all I wanted to do was mow my lawn, but when I discovered a dead snake lying in the grass, things got a little more complicated. I wanted to show Jana the little dead snake and when I brought her outside to see it she noticed a huge nest of bees living under a ledge on our house. We estimate that there were around 30-40 bees living under the overhang. The nest was about 4″ deep by 4″ wide. A Flickr slideshow is embedded below.
I decided that the bees were on our lawn illegally and capital punishment was the most fitting justice for these little flying buggers.
If you watched Wipeout last night, then you saw one of the most epic contestants ever. Frank Beasley, the force of nature!
Frank Beasley is the first to ever conquered the Shape Shifter* and actually finished the course on the true winner’s platform! He also avoided the hammer at the Door Knock, braved through a punch to the groin, and survived the Big Balls to finish at an epic time on the first course. The dude even snatched up the bonus ring on the third course for some extra money.
On the final course Frank sailed through and finished 4 minutes and 19 seconds under the nearest contestant!
I was so impressed I just had to find out about the real Frank Beasley and see if he was as hardcore as he looked to be on Wipeout.
It turns out that Frank lives in California and he is the drummer for Sinstorm, a heavy metal band. You can check out Frank’s skills on the drums here (language NSFW). No wonder the Wipeout course didn’t wear him down, the dude plays hardcore metal!
I’m not the only one who was impressed by Frank’s skills. There’s already a Facebook Group setup in his honor, Frank Beasley Wipeout Demon.
Frank is an active MySpacer using the name Frank666. On his latest update he mentions the Wipeout episode, but says he’s so busy right now that he had to put off the viewing party till later.
So Frank, if you read this, congrats on owning the Wipeout course. You rock.
*CORRECTION: Burton Hendrickson from Season 3 Episode 2 was the first person to get through the Shape Shifter. Thanks to a commenter for pointing out that error.
Horizon hails from Ontario and they haven’t even released their EP yet, but they’ve managed to jump on one of this year’s biggest internet memes, the Double Rainbow. If you don’t know the history surrounding the internet famous video, take a look at the following video from Know Your Meme.
I’m a big fan of internet videos, but no video has ever brought me more joy than the Double Rainbow video (the Grape Stomp Lady comes in a very second close). I’ve emailed Horizons and they said that their “EP is gonna be out shortly but we don’t have a date yet.” They also sent me a free MP3 of the Double Rainbow Song cover, which I’m very excited to have.
I’ve got two videos I want to share. First, let’s start with a hilarious video that effectively templates the typical Academy Award winning movie trailer.
