During a press conference on the H1N1 virus, Kathleen Sebelius reprimanded a member of the White House press corps after he sneezed into his hands.

The motion she was referring to was to sneeze into your sleeve!

It’s football season and people get so excited about the beginning of the regular season and I hear about how “quarterback blah blah” is really good this season and how they really like this this specific player… But for me I can’t get past the fact that most of those guys on the field are the same morons I disliked in high school and college.

Take off the colorful jersey and oversized helmets to fit their swollen heads and all you’re left with is a bunch of inflated kids. And to illustrate my point, I present a video of a typical conversation with said inflated kids.

I love Goodreads.com and I recently applied to be a librarian. I am euphoric that I can track and share my reading history using the Goodreads site, but their application process to become a librarian is grueling! Just look that the solitary question they put before an applicant…

Why do I want to be a Goodreads Librarian?! My Lord! In other words please describe the depth at which your love of books and reading dwells and please use this tiny white space to pour your heart into.

Below is my application essay to become a Goodreads Librarian.

I must be a Goodreads librarian because I am an American and this land is mine and yours at the same time, unless it’s private property, then it’s just theirs. Anyway, together, through the power of a series of tubes, one nation under God can unite duplicate book editions and separate authors with the same name. With liberty and proper syntax, these united bibliophiles can take this great collection of books and make it as free and organized as we are.

UPDATE: As of 6:36 Sunday evening my Librarian status was approved!

This is a very clever video I found today. It’s from the band SOUR and the name of the song is ‘Hibi no Neiro’ (Tone of everyday). The cast was selected from the actual SOUR fan base, from many countries around the world. Each person and scene was filmed purely via webcam.

Pretty creative even though I can’t understand a single word they are saying.
